We Need To Start Doing Better

Thirty years ago, people never thought it would be like this. We’ve been through so much – a pandemic, inflation, and a political climate that’s out of control. Things are really bad, and the new normal seems to be being a bad person.

How did we get like this? It seems like every billionaire you know is the cause of the problem. That’s true – Billionaires like Elon Musk and Donald Trump do nothing more than spread hate, lies, and attack their opponents. They also use their platform for evil, while promising the public the opposite. At the same time, we have never been more divided. More than half the nation voted for a felon who incited an insurrection on January 6th. But don’t worry, Donald Trump said it was all peace – even though his supporters chanted “Hang Mike Pence” and gallows were found nearby.

Alongside the terrible political climate, we’ve also done nothing but spread violence and hate online. Massive groups on X (Formerly twitter) have done nothing but attack others, and Elon Musk has no intention of removing the platform. To him, it’s okay. He’s even gone on record of doing it himself, only to remove the post later.

Social Media has also become the climate to spread misinformation, especially along the political side. Donald Trump and Elon Musk are known for doing this. In the last election, Trump said it was stolen – even though we proved it was the most secure so far.

Misinformation was also bad during the pandemic – Twitter users believed it was spread by Bill Gates, and some even thought it was done by 5G Towers. It’s even worse now that platforms such as X are choosing to not moderate.

In the end, all of these problems stem from lack of education. Conspiracies usually start somewhere, and spread with other people who refuse to actually research evidence. All of this will get worse, too. Donald Trump wants to dismantle the education system – To him, dumb voters are important. They will vote for him.

If you get anything from this article, I ask you to do your research. Don’t believe what anyone tells you. Misinformation spreads fast. Try to be nicer to people, and don’t trust billionaires.
